Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Reddr, the Reddr mobile app, and reddr.app (together, “Reddr”). By creating an account or using Reddr, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Reddr is being prepared for launch. Before public launch, these terms will be updated with the legal name and registered address of the company providing the service, applicable consumer information, and any country-specific terms.

Reddr can help you notify people you trust, but it is not police, an ambulance service, a monitoring centre, or a replacement for emergency services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112 or your local emergency number first whenever it is safe to do so.

Alerts, location information, push notifications, maps, and communications depend on many things outside our control: your device, permissions, battery, network coverage, operating-system behaviour, third-party services, and whether a recipient is available. We do not promise that an alert will be sent, received, acted on, or that help will arrive.

Keep your account information accurate and your credentials secure. You are responsible for the contacts and groups you add, for ensuring you have a lawful basis to invite or alert them, and for keeping their details current.

Do not use Reddr to harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, create false emergencies, interfere with another person’s privacy, or break the law. Do not add people to a safety network without their consent where Reddr asks for it.

You can remove contacts and groups, block people, manage permissions, and close your account through the app as features become available. Removing a person cannot recall information already delivered to them during an emergency.

When you trigger an emergency, Reddr sends the available emergency details and location to the server. The alert flow has three simple steps: accepted emergency contacts, members of your own groups, and—when it is enabled—members of nearby groups. The current emergency phase delivers the first two steps and notifies a duplicate recipient once. Continuous live tracking, delivery acknowledgements, SMS, automated voice-call escalation, nearby groups, and helper-network alerts are not yet available in the public product.

Do not rely on Reddr for a guaranteed response time, continuous location tracking, automatic calling, evidence preservation, or emergency dispatch. Use the service as an additional tool alongside your own judgment and official emergency services.

Some functions need permissions such as location, camera, microphone, notifications, or photo access. You control these through your device and app settings. Turning a permission off can limit or stop a related function.

Witness Mode records video evidence and stores it in protected cloud storage as part of the Reddr safety service. You are responsible for using recording features lawfully and for respecting the rights of people who may be recorded. Do not use evidence in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or violates another person’s rights.

Core safety features are intended to remain available on the free plan. Reddr currently displays Free, Ambassador, and Annual plans for product preview and development purposes; live payments, subscriptions, vouchers, and entitlement restoration are not yet active.

When paid services launch, we will provide the applicable price, billing period, cancellation information, consumer withdrawal information, and the relevant app-store or web-purchase terms before you pay. Purchases in mobile apps will be handled in line with applicable app-store rules.

We may change, pause, or discontinue a feature to improve safety, security, reliability, or legal compliance. We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe there is misuse, a safety risk, a breach of these terms, or a legal requirement to do so.

We will aim to give reasonable notice of material changes where practical, but a security or safety issue may require immediate action.

Reddr and its branding, software, and content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer ownership to you.

If you send feedback or suggestions to hello@reddr.app, you allow us to use them to improve Reddr without an obligation to compensate you.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights you may have as a consumer. Subject to that, Reddr is provided on an “as available” basis and we are not liable for indirect loss, loss caused by a failure of a third-party network or emergency service, or outcomes of a recipient’s response or non-response.

The final governing-law and dispute-resolution terms will be published before launch and will not remove mandatory rights that apply in your country of residence.
